Quiet design rules for a service-business board pack

Visual guidelines App Beaconpoint uses when preparing board packs for fast-growing service companies presenting to directors or investors.

Soft-lit desk with restrained board pack page layouts

Directors skim. If every page shouts, nothing lands. We design board packs with one dominant idea per page, generous margins, and a restrained palette that prints cleanly in Bangkok meeting rooms.

Avoid decorative 3D charts. Prefer small multiples when comparing sites. Put the narrative sentence above the visual so the eye knows what to seek. Numbers that matter get larger type; supporting figures stay quiet.

Leave white space for handwritten notes. Many Thai boards still mark up printed packs. A cramped layout fights that habit and slows the conversation.

Finally, version the pack. Label the period and the data cut-off in the footer so last quarter’s PDF does not wander into this quarter’s discussion by accident.
